Book an activity

Ulster Wildlife offers a variety of discovery and learning-based activities to help local people discover and learn about local wildlife and to engage with our wonderful natural environment.

Getting outdoors is the best way to discover nature and learn about our rich and varied local wildlife

We offer a range of activities which school, community, church, social or recreational groups can book including;

- Nature Workshops: see what workshops are currently available. Age group and further details included with each listing

- Educational Talks: get to know more about aspects of our work and local conservation issues by adding a talk by Ulster Wildlife to your programme of events

- Guided Nature Visits: a great way for your group to get out and find our more about your nearest Ulster Wildlife nature reserve.

- and our annual Nature Events programme which is open to families and people of ages. All events free to Ulster Wildlife members.

These activities are tools for inspiring and empowering children, young people and adults to take positive action for their local and global environment and to recognise their responsibilities as the current and future caretakers of our planet. We strongly believe that getting outdoors is the best way to discover nature and learn about the rich and varied local wildlife and habitats we enjoy in Northern Ireland. Feel free to browse and see what might suit you or your group best.

Book an Activity - Terms and Conditions

As a charity we do have to ask those requesting a Nature Workshop, Educational Talk or Guided Nature Visit to make a donation to cover our costs for facilitating the activity. However we do not want affordability to prohibit any group from discovering wildlife and nature and learning more about it. If the suggested donations mentioned in each section are beyond the means of your group, please contact us to discuss negotiating a special rate. Please note that the amounts listed are based on travel within a set radius of Ulster Wildlife offices, for activities at a greater distance an additional charge to cover mileage may be applied.

We currently request a deposit of 25% of the activity and issue an invoice once the activity has taken place. If, for whatever, reason we need to cancel (say due to adverse weather conditions) we will issue a full refund. If a group needs to cancel we will also issue a full refund providing the booking is cancelled at least 7 days before the activity date.

*Ulster Wildlife runs a nature events programme throughout the year. These events are free for Ulster Wildlife members and for non-members are £2 per adult and £1 per child (unless otherwise stated). See What's On for further details.
