Our 2014 competition has now closed. The competition called for photographers of all ages and abilities, to capture Ulster’s amazing wildlife and wonderful wild places.
The entries were judged by a panel of experts with an over-all winner picked through an online public vote. The 12 winning photographs were on public display in Belfast City Hall from 1-20th September
The Categories, Winners and Sponsors
Our 12 category prizes were kindly sponsored by a range of local businesses including M&S, Alive Surf School, Black & Lizars, Denman, Diveskool, DV Diving, Jackson Sports, the Sunflower Bar, Belfast and Wildlife Watch (each prize to the value of £100.00).
Winners will also receive a 2015 ‘Nature Matters’ Calendar, featuring the winning images, and were invited to the Opening of the ‘Nature Matters’ Photographic Exhibition at Belfast City Hall on 30 August.
The overall winner's prize was a D5200 18-55VR camera kit (RRP £579.99) kindly sponsored by Black & Lizars.

'Nature Matters' Photography Exhibition at Belfast City Hall
This year our ‘Nature Matters’ 2014 Photographic Exhibition was launched at Belfast City Hall and was generously sponsored by Bombardier Aerospace. The Photography Exhibition will run from 1 - 20th September 2014.
On the opening day - Saturday 30th August – there was a morning reception for our winners, sponsors and invited guests. Here we announced the Overall Winner, voted by the public via a social media campaign in August.
Thank you to 4 corners for agreeing to cover the production costs for the 12 quality prints for the exhibition at Belfast City Hall.
