This July, we would love you to join us in saying no to single use plastic.
Over 300 million tonnes of plastic are produced every year, with over half of this being made into single use plastic. 8 million tonnes of this debris finds its way into our marine environment each year, with 80% being materials from the land.
This over-reliance on single use plastic packaging is causing damage to our marine environments, risking the health of marine life and ecosystems. It is therefore time to turn the tide on single-use plastic.
It can be extremely difficult to make big lifestyle changes such as going plastic free, especially in already challenging times globally. Yet even the smallest steps will make a massive difference.
