Benefits to your staff

Corporate volunteering not only benefits local wildlife it also offers fantastic team-building and staff development opportunities, with your staff experiencing conservation work first-hand on one of our very special reserves.

What to expect

Typical activities include scrub clearance, glade clearance, oak haloing, meadow cutting, Himalayan balsam control and litter lifts. Most activities take place September - February or June – August but please note: nature doesn’t always work to a schedule and weather can change plans! Inclement weather can affect volunteering days at very short notice.

Activities your staff can expect to work on at Bog Meadows include:-

• Path maintenance – raking cut grass, edging paths
• Hedge maintenance – facing hedges along the paths
• Litter lifts
• Himalayan balsam removal
• Removal of tree chippings

We also include a guided walk about our site and the work we do there.  We provide all tools and any training required to use them, along with tea, coffee and biscuits!

Our team usually visit Bog Meadows on a Tuesday but we can switch things round to accommodate a group if another day suits better.
