The seabird colony at our Isle of Muck Nature Reserve is one of our greatest natural treasures but sadly it faces increasing human pressures.

By having access to our own boat, instead of a hire boat, we can be more responsive to ongoing threats and diseases, and step up our vital conservation work – from undertaking scrub control and transporting sheep across to improve seabird nesting habitat, to monitoring seabird numbers and health. 

With the boat now fully funded, the additional funds raised will support ongoing conservation activities and research at the Isle of Muck and at our other nature reserves - meaning we can do more than ever for nature in 2023.
