A natural pest controller
Our most well-known amphibian, the common frog frequently visits garden ponds to breed and in summer acts a natural pest controller on those pesky slugs and snails. If you want to encourage frogs, a wildlife-friendly pond is a must, plus lots of dark and damp places for them to seek refuge.
