Wildlife Watch & Local Groups

Let your kids' imaginations and feet run wild with Wildlife Watch

If your kids are wild about wildlife, Wildlife Watch is the club for them. Children can join as a Wildlife Watch member and receive lost of exciting goodies throughout the year or they can get involved with our local groups, run by registered volunteers.

Nurture your children's love of nature with Wildlife Watch membership. Children can join as an individual member or as part of a family membership of Ulster Wildlife. 

Wildlife Watch members receive a starter pack, four amazing issues of Wildlife Watch magazine a year, posters, stickers and information on how your membership is making a difference to wildlife in your area. They will also be eligible to become a nature star by participating in our awards scheme.

Wildlife Watch Local Groups

Our local Wildlife Watch Groups are a great way for children aged 8 and over to nurture their interest in nature and have lots of fun too. Run by registered volunteers, groups get together on a monthly basis to take part in a range of wildlife-inspired activities such as pond dipping, minibeast hunts, arts & crafts and environmental games.

Our current groups

Lisburn Watch Group

When: Meet 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6.30pm 
Where: Maghaberry Community Centre
Cost: £10 per child, per year. Booking is essential.

Bloomfield Watch Group

When: Meet 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6pm.   
Where: Bowling Green Clubhouse, Orangefield Park. 
Cost:   Free but booking is essential.

Bog Meadows Wildlife Watch Group

When: Meets 2nd Saturday of each month at 10.30am from November-March, and 2nd Thursday of each month at 7pm from April-October.
Where: Bog Meadows Nature Reserve, Falls Road, Belfast
Cost: Free, thanks to finding from the Natuonal Lottery Community Fund.
