Are you passionate about demonstrating real environmental impact and driving positive change for climate, nature, and communities?
Ulster Wildlife is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to play a pivotal role in the ambitious PEAT+ Project - a cross-border initiative restoring peatlands across Northern Ireland and Ireland’s border counties.
As the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, you’ll be the key link between data and impact - helping us prove and communicate the difference PEAT+ is making. Working closely with the PEAT+ Project Director, you will:
- Design and develop the overall monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework for the project.
- Consult with project partners to finalise monitoring protocols and deliver training.
- Collect, collate, and analyse data and updates from all partners to track progress against key outcomes.
- Prepare quarterly reports and impact summaries for funders and stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in project monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in data collection tools, statistical software, and M&E methodologies.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project management and impact assessment principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to engage effectively with diverse partners.
- Effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in partnership and stakeholder coordination.
- A proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and adaptability to new technologies (such as AI-based tools).
This is a full-time fixed term post to 30 June 2029. Part-time hours (30 hours per week) may be considered.
