Volunteers Week 2025 - Make a Wild Difference

Volunteers Week 2025 - Make a Wild Difference

Volunteers Week runs from Monday 2nd June to Sunday 8th June and is a time to celebrate volunteers and the contribution they make to local nature conservation

Volunteers' Week is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering in their communities.

Taking place from 2- 8 June, it’s a time for us to recognise and celebrate the huge contribution volunteers make to supporting our local wildlife and wild places. And, of course, it’s an opportunity to say an extremely loud and heartfelt ‘Thank you!

If you have ever wondered how Ulster Wildlife, with a relative small staff team, accomplishes so much for nature - it’s the power of our Volunteers that gives you the answer! The roles they have may vary from surveying priority bird species with our peatlands teams to monitoring oyster nurseries and their development, from volunteering behind the scenes entering data to getting out at events and encouraging the public to engage with nature.

Each and every one of our volunteers makes a valued contribution and we simply could not achieve what we are doing for nature’s recovery without them.

This Volunteers week we want to thank the hundreds of volunteers, past and present for their contribution. Join us in celebrating people who are making a wild difference and why not consider volunteering with us today
