We are Victoria Square’s Charity of the Year

Rebecca Henderson (Victoria Square Event Coordinator) and Vickie Chambers (Supporter Relationship Manager at Ulster Wildlife)

Ulster Wildlife, Northern Ireland’s largest local nature conservation charity, has been named Victoria Square’s Charity of the year for 2020. Victoria Square, Northern Ireland’s premier retail experience in the heart of Belfast, aims to raise much-needed funds for local wildlife and wild places here in Northern Ireland.

Money raised will go towards supporting Ulster Wildlife’s vital work restoring wild landscapes, protecting native species and engaging people about the importance of our natural world.

Ulster Wildlife and Victoria Square will be hosting events and activities through the year to raise awareness of the issues facing local wildlife and way that people can make a difference for nature on their doorstep.

Vickie Chambers, Supporter Relationship Manager at Ulster Wildlife, said, “We are looking forward to working together with the team at Victoria Square to raise funds for our local nature conservation projects, here in NI. Wildlife is under threat, with 1 in 5 species facing extinction right here in Northern Ireland. With help from local businesses and their customers, we can reverse this decline and create a wilder future for all of us.”
