How your membership helps barn owls
Your support can help with looking after the habitat that barn owls need to thrive. That's everything from erecting and inspecting nesting boxes in key locations, to checking in on barn owls through camera monitoring and ringing chicks.

Why Ulster Wildlife?
With 14,000 members supporting our mission to bring nature back at land and sea, we are the largest local conservation charity at home.
Our key focus is on protecting and restoring the wildlife that is native to Northern Ireland.
Making a difference, together
Last year, support from Ulster Wildlife members also helped:
- Survey 221 woodlands for red squirrels, grey squirrels and pine martens
- Restore 130 hectares of peatlands
- Manage 1,231 football-pitches equivalent of land for local wildlife
- Install our fourth native oyster nursery at Carrickfergus
Terms and Conditions: Ulster Wildlife Barn Owl Watch Week Offer 2026
- Eligibility: The Barn Owl Watch Week promotion is available to new and returning UK members joining Ulster Wildlife as an Adult, Joint or Family member. It is not available with Wildlife Watch, gifted membership or other membership types.
- Offer: The first 10 eligible members to join during the promotion will receive one barn owl adoption pack plus one bonus pair of Bare Kind barn owl bamboo socks. Please note: the socks are an additional promotional gift and not included with the adoption pack as standard.
- Availability: The offer is limited to 10 barn owl adoption pack bundles and is only available while stocks last. No cash alternative is available.
- Promotion period: The promotion runs from 27-30 August 2026. Ulster Wildlife reserves the right to withdraw or amend the promotion, if necessary, and to refuse any application for membership.
- Card payments: If you pay for your membership by credit or debit card, we will contact you before your membership expires to remind you about renewing.
- Gift Aid: We will not claim Gift Aid on your first year's membership due to the value of the promotional gifts. If you are eligible, Gift Aid will apply to your membership after the first 12 months.
