Adopt a Shark

Sharks and rays in our local seas are particularly in trouble, with some species as endangered as snow leopards and pandas

Sharks have been swimming our oceans for more than 400million years but have been hunted and persecuted for generations, leaving many species on the brink of extinction.

Shark are incredibly important for the health of our seas – as top predators they help to manage and maintain a healthy balance within our oceans and their loss could have devastating consequences.

Adopt a wild friend today

By tagging sharks at sea and training anglers, we hope to identify important spawning grounds and nursery areas to help sharks get the urgent protection they need – allowing them to thrive and restore balance to our coastal waters. Find out more about our conservation work.
