What we do

Protect wildlife havens on land and at sea

Protecting places to save their wildlife and habitats has been at the heart of what we do since we were founded more than 40 years ago.

Today we care for 19 nature reserves from ancient woodlands and thriving species-rich grasslands to vast peatlands and inner-city sanctuaries. We also work with farmers and landowners to improve and connect land for wildlife by delivering projects and providing advice.

At sea, we campaign for Marine Protected Areas - parts of the seabed where wildlife is protected.
