About the event

This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the spectacular Gobbins Cliff Path by boat with its caves, tunnels and bridges - many of which can't be seen from the coastal path - and witness Northern Ireland’s only mainland colony of puffins. Peregrines also nest in the area and your guide will help you look for signs of their presence.

Then it's onwards to our Isle of Muck Nature Reserve to experience thousands of breeding seabirds nesting on the outer cliff ledges from razorbills to kittiwakes, with help from your expert guide. The waters offshore are also one of the best places to see harbour porpoises and other cetaceans, such as minke whales. Common and grey seals are also regularly sighted and, with any luck, some may be spotted up close.

  • This is an adventurous, open-top boat exposed to the elements; it is not a tourist-style cruise boat.
  • This event is suitable for adults only or older children, aged 12 plus, with an interest in birds and nature.
  • Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, and be prepared for all weather conditions.
  • As this is a half-day event please bring drinks and snacks.
  • There is a small toilet on the boat.

The boat trip is subject to weather conditions and could be cancelled at short notice. Refunds will be provided in this instance.

A qualified first-aider will be present on board the boat.
